Elizabeth Bathory was a 16th Century Hungarian Countess and probably the most prolific serial killer and child murderer in history. She is believed to have sadistically tortured and killed over 600 young adolescent girls through pure sexual jealousy and malice. Obsessed with her fading looks, she would spend hours staring at herself in the mirror before picking out the prettiest of her retinue of young teenage maid servants to be hung up in a gibbot. She would proceed to jab at the poor girl with a sharp lance, causing her to slowly and painfully bleed to death. All the time whilst doing this, Elizabeth would scream furious obscenitites at the dying child.
